Former New York Senator Al D'Amato remains active and influential in New York even after his exodus in 1998. Since then, Mr. Al D'Amato actively participated in consulting and lobbying efforts for Park Strategies, LLC and as managing director for Computer Associates. He continues to fundraise for members of the Republican Party, and the Party itself. All of his current activities stem back to his political career starting in 1965 as public administrator for Nassau County and spanning his senatorial career from 1980 to 1998.

Al D'Amato led an extensive and impressive political career. He served on several committees including the President's Commission on Aviation Security and Terrorism, the Senate Finance committee, and the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. In the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, he supported the retrieval of funds for Holocaust survivors from former lost Swiss bank accounts.
